    BSOD with stop code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

    The past day or two I've started getting random BSOD with the stop code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. It says the file asmtxhci.sys is what failed. I know that's a file associated with my ASUS USB 3.x driver/s but I haven't been able to solve the issue myself. All my drivers are up to date, and I even tried rolling back the only USB driver I've updated since I got my computer last year with no difference.

    It doesn't seem to happen when I do anything in particular. In fact, so far it's only happened when I stepped away from the computer for a few minutes so I've never actually seen it happen. I only come back to find the blue screen.

    Here's a photo of the screen I grabbed with my phone: image1.JPG - Google Drive

    My DM log is attached.

    Hi,

    it seems that Avast ist the "main" culprit. Its shown in every bsod dump:

    Code:
    0x0000003B:    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (19.09.2017 22:17:45) [Windows 10]

    CAUSED BY:     memory_corruption
                   aswSnx.sys [22.08.2017] * avast Virtualization Driver * => http://support.avast.com/

                   aswSP.sys [22.08.2017] * avast Self Protection Driver * => http://support.avast.com/

                   asmtxhci.sys [1.03.2017] * Asmedia USB 3.0 driver * => http://www.asmedia.com.tw/eng/e_products_list.php?item=83&cate_index=0

    PROCESS:       taskhostw.exe

    Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory

    U should remove this first and see how it goes:

    U also have very old BIOS version:
    Code:
    BIOS_VERSION:  0703
    BIOS_DATE:  01/27/2016

    U should update it from here, there where many improvements made:
