BSOD MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION during every game

    Okay i just got a BSOD (machine check exception) while I was away from my PC, without even playing a game. Its significantly worse now after the PC reset and I cant do much of anything on it now.

    The bugchecks had displayed 9c and 0x124 WHEA.
    There was malfuntioning RAM which was removed.
    The bugchecks indicate a problem with the CPU.
    To get clearer information you can remove many confounding factors by performing a clean install.
    When performing a clean install there is a "vanilla type"
    In the vanilla type" clean install miniminal software is installed so that there are few confounding factors.
    So all partitions are removed, the operating system is reinstalled with no internet access.
    At this point the computer has its hardware and an operating system that has not had windows updates and does not have any installed drivers other than default drivers.
    The computer is then observed for BSOD with this computer environment.
    If there are BSOD then this indicates problems with the hardware.
    If there are no BSOD problems then next step is to allow windows updates. Again no drivers are installed.
    Then the computer is evaluated with windows updates.
    If there are no BSOD the drivers are slowly added over time to see if a problematic driver is found.
    So so far the bugchecks have indicated a hardware problem with the CPU.
    If you want additional information and some more clarity you can perform the clean install "vanilla type" to see if the hardware with on a non-updated operating system produces BSOD.

    I see what you mean.
    I was just typing that it would be hard to see if I get BSOD when it only happens during games, and only once outside of one...when I suddently got a blue screen so. I guess now that the reinstall somehow caused them to happen much more often, I could test it that way. I wish I had a spare CPU to try it with that.

    So this vanilla clean install is basically what I did, I just have to unplug it from the internet so that it doesnt update?

    Many things happen and they can have known cause and effect or by conincidence or chance.
    So the clean install is a deliberate method to not have software, files, drivers, etc. that could make finding a cause and effect more challenging.
    If you are able to perform a clean install "vanilla type" that would be operating system only with no updates.
    Then if there are no bsod you can slowly install other software but it takes patience so that there is sufficient time to check for BSOD.
    The vanilla install has not yet been done and if you are interested in planning this method it will take time to monitor the computer in various settings. The aim is to find cause and effect or if its not software than have sufficient time to find hardware problems.
