BSOD when updating iTunes/Nvidia

    Installed all apps with regular start up mode no freezes no crashes no problems… Yet

    Please post images of the heatsink. The heatsink plastic. The motherboard in relationship to the heatsink. The motherboard in relationship to the heatsink plastic.

    I'm going into the office in about 2 hrs. I'll see if I can find it. I put everything back together last night. There was a plastic shield over the metal at the bottom of the heatsink. The thermap paste was on the cpu and then the heatsink was placed on the cpu with the plastic cover still on it. Look at this video at 3:01 and you'll see the plastic cover I am referring to.

    the plastic is gone. My father in-law took out the trash. It's the same as in the video above, same brand of heatsink, but flat, not standing tall like that one in the video...

    Okay. So somehow that only impacted GPU and not CPU. Temperature was not reported as a problem.

    strange right? I have no issues whatsoever, having installed all my apps now. opening closing windows, restarting, opening Chrome straightaway, etc...

    Install the misbehaving driver and see if there is a bsod.

    yes
    Then perform Furmark on the computer with temperature and artifact monitoring.
    Does it have the same, better, or worse performance than the home computer?
