Have all of the Gigabyte drivers been installed except the misbehaving driver?
Which software programs were you not able to install due to freezing?
You can install Chrome, Firefox etc.
And attempt to install 1 or 2 of the software programs to see if you get any freezing.
If you get freezing then document it in the thread.
Reboot the computer and see if the freezing happens again.
If the freezing happens again after reboot then it is recurrent freeing with the Nvidia video graphics attached to the MB.
Then remove the Nvidia graphics and test the MB with only the Intel graphics. Does or does not the freezing occur performing the same steps that you had performed earlier when you had the freeing?
no. I have not installed anything at all from gigabyte. I was not instructed to.... just windows, win updates and chrome
Do you want me to install everything except app center from Gigabyte?
Yes install everything Gigabyte except the App center.
Then retest the Nvidia graphics using FurMark.
Then go to the steps in #502
Please go back to step #488 and advance and let me know if you missed any other steps from the more resent posts.
It's 3:33 AM here so I'll have to catch up with you at a later time.
What you want to see is whether you have the same or different performance with and without the Nvidia graphics.
When does it freeze and what can you do to make it freeze?
Turn off Windows fast startup:

Set computer for high performance.
Any other questions at this time?
Now freezes when I restart and open chrome
Same behavior as last time. It has to be those gigabyte drivers
Can you now remove the Nvidia graphics card and check for freezing?
