BSOD when updating iTunes/Nvidia

Please ask for clarity on the misbehaving driver.
What is it's purpose?
What are the pro and con of having it installed or uninstalled.
How do you specifically uninstall this driver?
How do you specifically install this driver?
Does this driver have to be installed with other drivers?
Does this driver have to be installed with other applications?
How many versions of this driver are available?
Can this driver be rolled back to another driver?
Are there any other applications that need to be installed to make Gigabyte applications /drivers function better?


Which Gigabyte applications /drivers are available that are not installed?

ask them only in terms of GDRV.SYS....but that's not even shoing in verifier anymore. I'm not exactly sure which driver I am supposed to be inquiring about since I have not seen GDRV.SYS anymore yet the crashes (not BSOD) keep occurring....

Please return to the Gigabyte website and make sure you have all of the drivers / applications and prerequisites installed.

With Speecy the Gigabyte support should be able to determine whether you have everything.

If a driver is not displayed in verifier it likely has been uninstalled. So it's important to understand the function of the missing driver.

I have speeccy installed. What do I save it as? Text file of system? motherboard specs only?

Save it as a text file.
If you need to view all of the drivers on the computer that is in msinfo32 or it is in the DM log collector as a txt file.

Have you had a chance to use the computer to evaluate the performance in clean boot?

Boot, restart, and shut down there not a problem anymore. The problem is the computer freezing in the middle of installing opening windows, etc.… There’s no BSOD. Just a freeze and then I shut down. Do you think it would be beneficial for me to go back to a clean install with no programs installed whatsoever? No drivers, etc.

Document what you are doing when there are freezes.
View the reliability control panel when you have freezes to see what time event matches the freeze.
There were possible domain /server problems noted in the event log.
If you know 1 or more things that will always cause a freeze consider the following:
If your cell phone provider gives you some free tethering minutes connect the computer to internet using the cell phone instead of the ethernet. Does it freeze of no longer freeze?
What were the bios numbers?
Once you have taken care of all of the Gigabyte issues then you can move on to tackling the freezes.
The RAM / DIMM / MB were ruled out by the Memtest86+
Some stress testing (GPU and CPU) can be done with the new operating system to see if it does or does not impact the freezing.
If possible use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture of the bios numbers and post images into the thread.
