the version of bluescreenview that I have appears to only open when I click the exe file. I don't see it as an installed program.... I have it..it's sitting in my problem solving folder....

All of the gig drivers you were instructed to install.
Then you started installing software on you own.
    You installed office and chrome.
    Things were going fine.
Then you had installed other software and had freezing.
What was that software that you indicated in the post that you had installed.

It had to be the gigabyte drivers that were causing the problems. I hadn't installed anything else yet....

That wasn't an installation. I have files and folders from the previous build folders and files from my documents folder that I was moving from D drive to c/Documents

    Look at post #255
    What happened there?
    What was installed?
There was no freezing prior to that step.
The drivers had all been installed before turning on windows driver verifer.

again that was migrating documents from D to C and trying to open Chrome while the transfer was happening. I had similar issues in the past where it would mysteriously freeze up and shup down with no BSOD

I thought the problem was from what I installed through Gigabyte. It started right after that. I can put it back. All I know id the PC hasn't frozen since I did that...whether that was the culprit or not I have no idea.

Things need to be done in a methodical way to troubleshoot.
Adding and removing software on your own is not methodical.
    It creates confusion.

This is the gigabyte link: GA-H170M-D3H (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE

Please turn off windows driver verifier.
To turn off windows driver verifier open administrative command prompt and type: verifier /reset

Download and install this Intel tool: IntelĀ® Driver Update Utility
    Do not install any drivers/software.
Use the snipping tool to display the results.

Please list all of the software that you want to install
    Adobe reader?
    Adobe flash?
    Ccleaner?
    Cyberlink?
    Java?
    Malwarebytes?
    Mozilla Firefox?
    etc?
