I bought the motherboard from amazon, checked the model number then went to their site and downloaded and installed drivers

Please confirm that you downloaded from the same site that I had provided.
That there were no drivers installed from any other site.
Let me know when you have installed all drivers

Let me know when you have completely installed all drivers.
And please confirm that drivers were only installed from the Gigabyte website and no other source.
Do not customize and turn on windows verifier until you have done the following:
1) create a brand new restore point
2) reviewed the 3 methods to turn off windows driver verifier
3) have installed bluescreenview and whocrashed
Let me know when you are ready to turn on windows driver verifer in the link and I'll let you know when to start.
Reboot once all drivers have been installed.
Let me know when all drivers are installed and you have reviewed the information and steps in post #215.

rebooted first....after BIOS flash....safe optimized defaults in BIOS then rebooted
Click on the column provider so that it sorts.
When it sort all of the non-Microsoft should be on top.
Then check all non-Microsoft drivers for the testing.
Have you created a brand new restore point?
Have you downloaded and installed each bluescreenview and whocrashed?
Have you made sure that automatic restart is un-checked?
Have you reviewed the 3 methods to turn off windows driver verifier?
If you have done all of the above you can turn on windows driver verifier.
