Remove completely Intel Rapid storage technology.
    Reboot.
There has been a frequent event in the event viewer and this step may make it disappear.
Later it will be reinstalled with a fresh application and then the event viewer will scanned.

Has the unknown device remained in device manager with the Intel installations or has something been altered?

Have you updated the findings with him?
The sticker on the heat sink?
    The recurrent failure of GDRV.sys?
Do you want to get another MB?
Do you want to keep the current MB?
What are the logistics in getting a replacement MB?
    Will it be new?
    Will it be refurbished?
    Does it matter?
He said the warranty is from the date of purchase so it should not matter new or refurbished.
You just want all of the above in the email so you can refer to it in case there are any future problems.
What information were you able to get about the application/driver?
Can they speak with their software division to give you sufficient information on the application/driver?

I don't necessarily want to RMA the MB if I don't need to. If I don't need the app center for anything and i can run the PC fine without it, I'd rather just keep it rather than be down a PC in the office for 2-3 weeks....

So far you do not know why the driver GDRV.sys continues to have recurrent BSOD.
And you don't know how performance may be altered without the driver.
Gigabyte did not yet have the information.
Unlike the GPU you do not have a Motherboard to swap.
    Logistically you want minimal downtime.
It is best to have the ability to try the MB to see the difference.
Does another MB have a working GDRV.sys driver that does not BSOD?
Does another MB have performance changes using the GDRV.sys driver?
If there were minimal downtime you would switch the MB as it has the same warranty as the current MB.
So this is the option that you might consider: Ask Eddie if you could pay for the MB with your credit card and then when the other MB is returned they provide a credit on your card. This would enable you to have shortest downtime.

At this time you are very experienced in replacing the hardware, clean install windows, reinstalling drivers, troubleshooting hardware, and troubleshooting drivers using windows driver verifier. It would not take you long to get the system up and running.

I'll ask Eddie at Gigabyte about getting a new MB. How can I find the serial number on a Gigabyte MB, where is it? Can I find it through windows or do I need to get it from the physical MB itself?

I do not own any other Gigabyte MBs. The other 3 I have are all ASUS MBs.
