Alright little update, I'm nearly done testing ram stick 2 of 4 and so far no errors reported by the proper version of memtest86+
What were the steps that you made to use Memtest86+?
Please use a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images of the results into the thread.
I downloaded the version that came with the usb installer, I pulled all the ram sticks except one, popped the use in and booted the computer up.
Memtest86+ launched on its own and started working.
Ive let it run 8 passes on each stick, I'm on the last stick right now and so far no errors have been found
Please use a camera or smart phone camera to post images of all of the test results into the thread.
Initially you had reported that you were not able to use Memtest86+ version 5.01.
Troubleshooting steps were suggested and then you were able to use Memtest86+ version 5.01.
Please post into the thread each step that you made to get Memtest86+ version to work as this may be helpful to others reading the thread.
Initially you had used different software: Memtest86 and got errors when testing all of the RAM modules at one time.
Have you tested all of the RAM modules at one time using Memtest86+ version 5.01?
Oh the first time around I was trying to use it on a DVD and I couldn't get it to launch, I found my thumbdrive this morning so I just installed it on there and it launched fine from there.
I've been testing one stick of RAM at a time today and so far they've all been clean of errors, this picture is of the the scan that's currently running on the final stick of RAM.

Now choose 1 of the RAM that passed 8 or more runs.
Move that RAM module into each DIMM.
Test each DIMM for 8 passes.
Please post images of each DIMM into the thread.
Please use the DIMM number when posting.
Please again make sure to use a camera to record every Memtest86+ version 5.01 result into the thread
The current test has only displayed 5 passes. That is insufficient.
It must have 8 or more passes before deciding whether it has passed or failed.
How many of the prior tests had 5 passes and not the complete 8 passes?
So just move it over a slot and run it again?
What do you mean post an image of each DIMM? Like just take a picture when I start the test for each slot or?
and how do I find out what the DIMM number is?
Approximately how much time is it taking to test each RAM module?
How many of the tests were for at least 8 passes?
How many of the tests were for fewer than 8 passes?
