    If possible, please run HDTune again and run the benchmark. Please provide an image (photo) of the end result.
    Make sure that MemTest86+ is run with at least 8 completed passes, less is not worth the effort.
    @zbook,
    delete all partitions
    then format the drive
    you have then made an unallocated drive
    After deleting all partitions there is nothing to format, because there is no partition.
    Formatting means that a partition is wiped and possibly the format changed from NTFS to FAT32 (or opposite), but the partition itself remains allocated which is not the case with deleting.
    So, when deleting a partition formatting is not possible.

    What are the specs of the system?

    12 GB DDR3 with a Gigabyte H61M-DS2 motherboard and a GeForce GTX 430. It also has an Intel Core i5-3570K CPU

    I don't know the rest you'd have to ask him and he doesn't know. He wanted me to get his specs from the DXDIAG... it doesn't give you those as far as I know.

    The PSU and cooler need to be checked from inside the case.
