You should start a new thread for this in the general section. Sounds like you may have a PSU problem but you will need to supply more information on exactly what you get - such as any beeps or lights showing on the motherboard, or any sound or sign of hard disks working etc.

If the system is reverting to the same BSOD events post in here otherwise create a new thread.

So I had a BSOD with no dump within 10 mins of use quickly followed by a freeze. I then tried to do some research into it the whole time the PC was stable, I then went back to normal usage including gaming for 3/4 hours with no issue, until I left it for 10 mins with most applications and all games closed and when I came back it had frozen again. After this I attempted to restart the computer which BSOD'd within 5 mins. So whats the first step? I was thinking about checking all the drivers again (with your help) as this seems to be a likely cause, despite me already checking.

Basically you need to go back to the step described in my post #121

As the freeze happens when you leave the system idle for a while it is most likely a driver associated with a background process that starts up when the system is idle for while. You might be able to search the event information logs to check which services started around the exact time of the freeze.

Im currently away from PC and the notes I made on the event viewer, I had a good look into all the events and there were a few queries but nothing obvious, ill check again when Im back though. That works for most of the crashes, but does it explain the repeated crashes (soon after the first one), or the one at the end of the night where the PC was left for 5-10 mins?

Also if I find an event starting soon before a crash, if it doesnt happen before every crash, or it happens sometimes and it doesn't crash should it still be a suspect?

To nail the culprit I think you should expect to see it happen consistently. These things can be a real pain. Keep persevering!

So Im back at my PC and the only events (in Application or System) I see for a while before the crash is the event 7040 in system "The start type of the Background Intelligent Transfer Service service was changed from demand start to auto start." and the reverse of that about 2 minutes later, both over an hour before the crash. This seems to happen regularly though?
