    BSOD DPC Watchdog Violation

Hi, I keep getting the bsod and Idk how to fix this. I believe it might be audio related because when I watch youtube the video freezes and plays a buzzing sound but it unfreezes itself. Sometimes it just freezes up completely and gives me a bsod. Please help me

edit: I forgot to mention that i disabled nvidia hd audio to see if it would fix it but it didnt work. This all started happening after I installed my 1050 ti.

    Hi kvt1998 ,

There was one bsod mini dump.
Dubugging this dmp file indicated that the misbehaving driver is rtwlane.sys
The log files displayed IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe as a problem signature and a faulting application.

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

    1) sfc /scannow

    2) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    3) chkdsk /scan

When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on copy > paste into the thread

    4) Turn off wireless.
    Connect your computer by ethernet.
    Open device manager
    expand networking
    look for the realtek wireless
click on properties then driver to confirm RTWLANE.SYS
    Uninstall this driver.
Download an up to date driver from the Asus web site (using product or serial number and operating system) or from Realtek

Another option is to download the driver to the desktop.
    Then turn off wireless.
    Then uninstall the driver.
    Then install the new driver.

There has been a noted increased frequency of bsod related to Realtek/Asus. For the laptops (not yet desktops) we have been recommending roll backs of this Realtek driver. In case there are any recurrent bsod related to this driver in your desktop consider a roll back:
Roll Back a Device Driver to a Previous Version

    5) On the Asus web site with the computer's serial or product number and operating system look for Intel rapid storage technology and download the application/drivers. In case the application/drivers are not suitable you can use: Downloads for IntelĀ® Rapid Storage Technology (IntelĀ® RST)
The computer manufacturer approved applications/drivers are preferred.

    6) Turn off Windows fast startup:

    Code:
Windows failed fast startup with error status 0xC00000D4.

Please refer to several recent threads that have BSOD events associated with ASUS laptops and while watching youtube videos. They have all been fixed by using an older version of the rtwlane.sys driver. You have the same problem.
For example: BSOD watching videos on youtube, error Watchdog Violation.
