BSOD watching Youtube videos or editing with GoPro Studio

Hi,

I get a BSOD with a DPC_WATCHDOG violation error when watching Youtube videos or editing some of my GoPro footage using GoPro Studio. I already followed the advice here: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/dpc_wa...-in-windows-10

But that did not work and I'm not sure what to do next. It doesn't happen on all youtube videos (for instance, the instruction video on how to make the dump in the sticky of this forum worked just fine). Crashes when editing GoPro footage are more "reliable": GoPro studio will crash every time I try to edit a video.

Check ASUS for network driver updates, or reinstall the drivers. Specifically the Realtek wifi.

I installed ASUS's driver for the realtek wifi adapter and that seems to be working (I watched a long bout of youtube while also having GoPro Studio open, which was previously generally enough to crash). I will not yet mark it solved, but it seems promising. The version of the driver ASUS had me download is quite a lot older than the version I had. If that is indeed the problem, how can I prevent Windows from autoupdating this driver?

Windows only installs drivers that are missing. If it happens that Windows does install newer drivers, you can simply reinstall the drivers from ASUS.
