    I removed HWiNFO64A.SYS from the program everything and uninstalled HWinfo after the bsod and thats probably why you can't see it within the log files. I found Nothing by searching for it in file explorer

    @zbook

    You can find reference to this driver in the Eventlog.

    Code:
    Service Name:  HWiNFO32/64 Kernel Driver
    Service File Name:  \??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\HWiNFO64A.SYS
    Driver Verifier finds it, tests it and reports that it is faulty.

    The op has reported that the software was removed, (s)he should check that the file no longer resides in the \system32\drivers folder mentioned.

    I removed HWINFO64A.SYS myself from\system32\drivers. After that I didn't get any BSOD's any more.

    @philc43, It was listed in the event log on 04/17/2017
    Code:
    Event[143]: Log Name: System Source: Service Control Manager Date: 2017-04-17T12:47:52.709 Event ID: 7045 Task: N/A Level: Information Opcode: N/A Keyword: Classic User: S-1-5-18 User Name: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Computer: DESKTOP-VQI609R Description: A service was installed in the system.Service Name: HWiNFO32/64 Kernel DriverService File Name: \??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\HWiNFO64A.SYSService Type: kernellägesdrivrutinService Start Type: systemstartService Account:
    How would you determine whether it is or is not currently installed?

    @slowcorals - can you confirm that the black screens are no longer appearing? If they are that is the area we need to focus on.

    The black screens are still appearing. I got one yesterday after I booted from sleep mode. The computer lights up and the fans spin. The screen often dispalys the error code: No video input, during the black screen. If I hold the power button to restart the pc the black screen disappear.

    When did you install the current BIOS? I ask because it is a beta version, that means it may not have all its bugs ironed out and could be contributing to the problem.

    About 4 days ago. Do you think I should roll back to the previous version? I have had black screens before I updated to the beta bios.

    I think it would be a useful test. It may not help but I generally only run a beta version of a BIOS if I know it is fixing a problem for me.
