    Well, spit. Everything was running fine until this evening. BSOD while the machine sat idle. I will run driver verifier over the weekend and post its results.

    There was 1 BSOD mini dump and when debugged it displayed FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE (12b)This bugcheck indicates that a single bit error was found in this page. This is a hardware memory error.

    1) post a kernal memory dump into the thread:
    C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMPUse file explorer > this PC > local C: drive > right upper corner search enter the above to find results.

    2) There was a memtest86+ version 5.01 performed 6 months ago for 8 passes.
    Please perform a repeat Memtest86+ version 5.01 for 8 or more passes.
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    It sometimes takes passes into the 20's to find malfunctioning RAM.
    Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
    Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM to different good from bad RAM.
    When Memtest86+ version 5.01 has completed 8 or more passes please use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

    3) Please complete the Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing before using Windows driver verifer.

    Had another BSOD tonight as well. The webcam was disabled by Kaspersky for "security reasons", whatever that message meant. An online instructions guide stepped me thru re enabling it. I have the memory.dmp file but its 1.39GB, so the forum won't let me upload it. I will run memtest again tomorrow for more than 8 runs.

    There was no definitive misbehaving driver in the debugging.
    The bugchecks were
    12B
    1...7E
    The problem device has disappeared in the logs.
    Can't most files can be posted with one drive or drop box share links?
    That would take a very long time to download.
    We may use Windows driver verifier pending the outcome of the Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing.
    For Memtest86+ version 5.01 when it has completed the test please use a camera or smart phone camera to post an image into the thread.

    That would take a very long time to download.
    We may use Windows driver verifier pending the outcome of the Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing.
    For Memtest86+ version 5.01 when it has completed the test please use a camera or smart phone camera to post an image into the thread.

    The memory dump when debugged displayed 1 misbehaving hardware driver:
    igdkmd64.sys
    igdkmd64.sys Mon Aug 14 01:13:46 2017 (59913F9A)

    1) Download the Intel graphics driver from the Dell website to the desktop
    Support for Alienware 17 R3 | Drivers & downloads | Dell US

    2) Turn off wireless using hardware off if available
    3) Disconnect Ethernet
    4) Using device manager uninstall igdkmd64.sys Intel graphics driver
    5) Reinstall Intel graphics driver
    6) Reboot
    7) Reconnect wireless or Ethernet
    8) Perform Windows updates
    9) Use the Dell diagnostics to test the graphics driver
    10) If there is no BSOD with the Dell diagnostics > increase the stress test using FurMark.
    Aim for 1 hour testing.
    FurMark - GPU Stress Test Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials: FurMark - GPU Stress Test Performance Maintenance Tutorials
    11) Monitor for freezing, temperature changes, and display artifacts and abort testing as needed.
    12) Record test duration and maximum temperature.
    13) Use the Microsoft snipping tool to post images into the thread.

    When available please post the results of the recent Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing.


    This needs to be ruled in / ruled out:

    3) A hardware corruption occurred, e.g. failing RAM holding kernel code or data.

    Removed and reinstalled the Intel Graphics Driver. Not a BSOD in two days. I will perform the memtest86+ and fumark test tomorrow (needed my system for finals the past few weeks).
