iaStorA.sys causing BSOD

I recently installed a new mobo. I rebooted with the existing version of Windows 10 x64. Since then I occasionally get a BSOD caused by iaStorA.sys. I know this is part of Intel's RAID setup, but I don't have a RAID. I've tried to find out how to uninstall it as a solution, but can't see how to do that since the drivers don't appear in Device Manager. Doubtless these drivers are leftover from something I installed brfore the hardware upgrade. Is s clean install of 10 the best solution?

With a new mother board, a Clean Install is the best option.

I know there have been posts on tenforums.com about uninstalling Intel RAID drivers and running with the generic Windows RAID drivers but I can't find them now.

Maybe @NavyLCDR is around and can respond. I know he has posted this info more than once.

If I were you though, I'd do a Clean Install after creating an image backup to an external hard drive using Macrium Reflect Free.

In device manager look under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Uninstall any device you see under there, and check the box for uninstalling the device driver as well. Restart the computer, you should then be using the Microsoft standard SATA disk controller. Then you can re-install whatever disk controller driver fits the chipset on your motherboard.

Thanks. Device Manager did not show the IDE controller you quoted but there was another one there (C200 from memory). I uninstalled that, which stopped access to my windows drive on reboot. So I did a reset from my bootable recovery USB. Only the MS drivers are loaded now so that looks like it is fixed. Thanks for your advice.
