    System Service Exception caused by NETIO.sys

    My PC crash since 3-4 days and it's always the same error related to NETIO.sys.
    I'm new to BSOD, that's why I came to this forum.

    All my drivers seems to be up to date.
    I've tried to run Disk Check and System File Checker.
    I've installed and ran CCleaner.
    At one point I thought it was firefox so now I'm using Chrome, but yesterday I had a BSOD so I ran out of solutions...

    I hope someone can help.

    Dump shows the following:
    Code:
    BugCheck 3B, {c0000005, fffff80e788de01a, ffffd0802e43d990, 0}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for avgStm.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for avgStm.sys
    Probably caused by : NETIO.SYS ( NETIO!StreamProcessCallout+2ae )
    NETIO.SYS is a system module, unlikely to be the cause of the problem.

    avgStm.sys on the other hand belongs to AVG Antivirus which you are using. COmpletely uninstall AVG and run with the built in Windows Defender for awhile, see if the problem is fixed or not. If it is you can stay with Defender (it's what I any many others here use) or try the latest AVG or a different AV program.

    Sincerely, I've been thinking for a while about uninstalling this piece of crap who's acting more and more like a virus at each new update (and the updates are practically weekly). But now that you gives me a new reason for doing it, I promise I will sport a triumphant smile during the whole uninstalling process!

    I will post back in a couple of days for the result. Thank you.

    That is as hilarious as sadly true...
