BSOD Playing steam games (Ark: Survival Evolved)

    Hi,

I've been experiencing BSOD whenever I run games off steam. The main game I use is Ark: Survival Evolved. I played games like Overwatch through the battlenet launcher for over 2 months with no issues but the day I downloaded steam and Ark I've had four crashes, 3 playing Ark and 1 playing Overwatch (Now steam and Ark have been downloaded it seems the crashes occur while playing any game).

The error message I get 90% of the time is this:
    Attachment 133085

Today I also got this message on one of the crashes:
    Attachment 133086

I've sent the PC back three times to the website I bought it trying to describe the issues but they have just wiped the PC and returned it, only for the same issue to happen when I try certain games. I have tried updating all drivers and this doesn't seem to have any effect.

Any help really would be appreciated, I'm not hugely tech savy but anything else I can do to help you in your troubleshooting I will.

    Thanks,
    Bruncase

    Hi,

Thanks for your fast response, I have updated my graphics driver but as far as I'm aware my razer driver is up to date? I use razer synapse which updates automatically and I just checked for any new updates and it says it was all up to date..

After the crash steam says Ark is not installed, even though no new disk space has freed up. I'm going to reinstall it and try again then post here with a new crash file. Any ideas why the desktop was running fine with games before I installed steam and Ark?

Many thanks for your help so far,
    Bruncase

U can try to reinstall the razer software. I would completely remove this at first step and then install the newest version again.
Running CCleaner after deinstallation is recommended.

Maybe steam or ark installed broken librarys which affect drivers in a way.

Isn't CCleaner bad for the registry?

    Hi Redbatman,

Ccleaner is not per se bad, there is only a risk that a glitch could cause issues which is why it isn't recommended. Although Ccleaner is one of the safer utilities, if you want to use the registry part I recommend to check what is being cleaned and make a registry backup first.

    Hi Guys,

After updating my drivers I had the same crash report (Driver IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL)

I tried to run the ten forums BSOD programme again to get another report for you but it doesn't create the same uploadable zipped folder as it does the first time?

Thanks for your help so far, is there a way to show you another crash report?

Is a new folder created? If so, you could upload the folder as a zip as alternative.
