BSOD during VMware workstation player installation consistently
Hi,I get a consistent BSOD during the installation of VMware Workstation Player. I can replicate it very easily. I have gotten 4 BSOD due to this (installation of VMware Workstation Player) while trying to debug/find the cause myself.
Attached is the latest/last BSOD DM log collector file. (I have all 4 BSOD DM Log collector files if needed)
BSOD Error: Driver irql not less or equal. Same BSOD error consistently.
The BSOD always occurs during/mid-installation. I believe (Might be wrong) at the point where the installer states "Installing Virtual Network Drivers".
The installer was run from C drive (Desktop) with installation into C drive.
Things I've Done/Tried:
1) Windows Updates & Application Updates
2) Fresh Install of VMware workstation always
- Remove any VMware files from installation path manually
- Does not register as installed in control panel, hence unable to uninstall normally. BSOD always occurs during installation
3) End Task/Exit any non-essential background applications/task
My System:
Laptop: Sager NP9150
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro x64
Motherboard: Clevo P15xEMx
Memory: DDR3 16GB
Graphics Card: NVidia GTX680m & Integrated Intel HD 4000
Thanks in advance for the assistance
