BSOD during random use errors 0x0000009f 0x00000133 0x0000000a

Hi I have encountered a few BSODs recently.

    Symptoms:
I am using chrome, the computer freezes (mouse still moving) then shut down a few seconds/minutes later with one of the 2 following messages: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE or something about DPC_WATCHDOG.

I usually have a second BSOD a few minutes after the first crash.

My first assumption was overheating, so I cleaned my PC, lowered the room temperature by 10°C (18°F).

Crashes still happened. I cleaned the computer with CCleaner, used MalwareBytes to check for malwares, uninstalled my antivirus (avast) to use MSE instead.

    No change.

The laptop is fairly new (6 months), and it doesn't have anything to read CDs/DVDs so I didn't run memtest (I can't remove/change ram either).

I used BlueScreenView who told me things were happening in either hal.dll or ntoskrnl.exe and I decided to run driver verifier.

Crashed on startup with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0x0000000a) a few times so I removed it.

From what I can see it is very likely a faulty driver, but I could be wrong of course.

I have problems with webGL on chrome so it might come from nvidia drivers, but I doubt it.

EDIT: I also almost always use an android emulator called NOX which might be linked to the problem.

Check the site of the company, that should provide driver updates for your laptop, for Realtek sound driver updates.
    Code:
    7: kd> lmvm MBfilt64
    Browse full module list
    start end module name

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from the company that should provide drivers for your laptop. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver, you can use this tutorial for the installation part NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems - Windows 7 Help Forums

Thank you for the very quick reply, I am going to do this.

However, I am not sure I will be able to get the drivers from the company easily. I have found recent drivers for realtek drivers (Network PCI cards and PCI cards) though a software scanning my computer specs. Do you think it should be enough (at least for now) or should I avoid it?

Do you mean driverscloud? If so, please do NOT install it from this program

Yes this one, I won't do it from there in this case.

Is it possible to have more informations on the reasons it shouldn't be used? I was planning to use in the future to keep drivers up to date to prevent problems.

Those kind of programs are often causing issues, though it may resolve your current issue but their drivers are known for causing issues + there is a good chance in the near future you will get other issues with those drivers.

Another reason I would usually add, laptop manufacturers alter the drivers for their laptop to be more compatible with the hardware, but with the kind you have that wouldn't be the case.

It is basically the best to get the drivers from official sources (Windows Update and/or the relevant company).

A question I'm asking myself from time to time, whilst trying to figure it out. Do you know where those companies selling such programs get the drivers from and what happens before it gets to your system?

I thank you for taking your time to explain it to me.

I will probably only use them to check for updates and will only download the drivers from the source.

    You're welcome :)

My advice, don't use it at all.
You won't need any such program ever, all it takes is a from-time-to-time check on the official source and quite often Windows already does the job for you.

Hi, I didn't have anymore problems for some time, but just today I have started getting many blue screens again (every 15 minutes). It might not be linked to the previous problems but I am not sure so I post here.

    Error code is always DRIVER_STATE_POWER_FAILURE

I recently updated nvidia graphic drivers and installed python3.6. Windows update did a lot of things yesterday too. Crashes happens either when using chrome or excel. Sometimes when the computer is idle for a few minutes.

For in the future, if a new problem occurs create a new thread and do not stick with your old onces so we can all start fresh :)

Unfortunately, we can't analyze any dumps at the moment.
There are issues with symbols, we're currently waiting for Microsoft to fix the issue.
