Event Viewer DistributedCom error

I have been experiencing regular PC freezes over the last few months and have only recently discovered the Event Viewer in an attempt to identify the culprit, (forgive me I am a novice PC user!).

The freezing is a separate issue, but this morning I have logged in and all seems fine but the following error has come up in the Event Viewer just after login - can someone please give me an idea of what this relates to?

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {8D8F4F83-3594-4F07-8369-FC3C3CAE4919} and APPID {F72671A9-012C-4725-9D2F-2A4D32D65169} to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

I've followed those instructions and file now attached.

do u have Bluescreens? Because this subforum is specialized on analysing BSODs.

And theres a modified hosts file to bypass software activation.

It relates to authority. You can fix it by doing what it says - giving the SYSTEM account local launch authority to CDP Activity Store as described here

Honestly I would not bother - It can safely be ignored. Event viewer is full of such DCOM errors and "fixing" them doesn't appear to do anything apart from stop them showing up in Event Viewer which while it can be fun (I think it is anyway) is a bit pointless really.

It isn't connected to your BSOD problem anyway.
