    Still the same error:
    Code:
    BugCheck A, {3100008, 2, 0, fffff8005b84c688}
    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for MBfilt64.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for MBfilt64.sys
    so the rename seems not to have taken effect.

    source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
    WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 0000000000000000, Machine Check Exception
    Arg2: ffffce81d7bb5028, Address of the WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure.
    Arg3: 00000000ba000000, High order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.
    Arg4: 0000000052000402, Low order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.
    Code:
    Error : Internal unclassified (Proc 1 Bank 4)
      Status      : 0xba00000052000402
    I don't know what else to suggest as this appears to be a defective CPU. You have a:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3301 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

    Yes that is what I have. I guess I will go the upgrade route and get a new CPU and motherboard.
