Just tried booting the system with the other stick installed, by itself. BSoD in 20 minutes. Trying it in another slot now to see if it's a mobo slot issue or ram stick issue. I had this idea based on one review from newegg: Single review: GeIL EVO FORZA DC 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Desktop Memory Model GFY416GB2400C16DC - Newegg.com

It's a different capacity (2x8GB, mine are 2x4GB) but the same make and model otherwise.

Quite convinced it's one bad stick of ram now. Curious how memtest did not find this.

I labeled the sticks A & B. I have 4 slots on my motherboard. Here are the configurations I tested:

    sticks | slot | stable
    -------------------------
    A | 2 | unstable
    B | 1 | unstable
    -------------------------
    A | 2 | stable
    -------------------------
    B | 1 | unstable (bsod in 20 mins)
    -------------------------
    B | 2 | unstable (bsod in 30 mins)
    -------------------------
    A | 1 | stable

I'll be contacting the manufacturer about a RMA. While 2 anecdotes isn't statistically significant, that other newegg review was a smoking gun.

Anyways, I appreciate the help here and will be back in the future again if I run into issues. I'll make sure to recommend friends running into issues, too. Thanks again.

Glad you found the cause, so it seems that the first dumpfile with FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE (12b)was right.
Sometimes it happens that memtest does not find errors in the first test. That is why in one of my post mentioned to be sure retest your memory again.
