Windows 10: BSOD DPC access violation (Watchdog) / Power State failure
BSOD DPC access violation (Watchdog) / Power State failure
Hi, thanks for reading my post and for your time.
I first had issues with my Network adapter (Atheros Qualcomm), ethernet was working fine and i could only get a connection to a few routers, the rest would reset my netword card on connection.
Second issue happend very recently, as it never happend before yesterday.
BSOD happend on different times and context :
- When using touchpad.
- On logging screen
- Random for most.
Starting my computer on safe mode works perfectly.
I would be pleased to help you by providing any informations you need, and again, thank you for your help.
PS : Attached to the post is the Zip file as requested.
Have a good day.
You appear to have a illegal installation of Windows 10. Please correct this by installing and activating a legal copy. If you then get any more BSODs, run DM_Log_collector and upload the zip file and I'll be happy to take a look at it.
First of all, thanks you for the answer.
Soon after the BSODs I tried to find where the problem was located but I finally decided to reset the computer but still, the problem didn't really seems to be solved. I bought my pc 2 years ago and it gets reset as windows 8. I decided to upgrade it few minutes later with an official windows link : Access Denied).
It's been few months that windows isn't available with the windows update so I decided to upgrade it with this tool.
Now that I think about it, do you think the windows 8 will be stable for the drivers?
If your installation of Windows 8.1 was legal and activated, then you can still do a free upgrade to Windows 10 using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.
I know this still works as I did it twice at the shop last week, once with a Windows 7 install and again with a Windows 8.1 install. Both were activated before the upgrade and activated automatically after the upgrade.
The key is you need to start with an activated Windows 7, 8 or 8.1.
Happens when going to sleep/hibernate, or resuming. Never happens while just using the computer.
update to latest drivers for my nvidia graphics driver, wifi controller, and intel raid controller
any help is appreciated
Sigh... a brand new build on new components. Have a dual boot - works brilliantly in Win 7 (no errors) but fails mostly upon boot up in Win 10.
Crash dump analysis shows 7 dump files with 6 DPC Watchdog violations and 1 one Driver Power State...
In a bit of a jam here,
Currently I have windows 10 installed, although the problem was persisting even while I was using windows 7. The problems started when I ran out of space on my SSD and tried to bring files over to my other HDD for storage....
Ever since I updated to windows 10, my computer automatically installs some Nvidia drivers from their servers. From past experience I know that my computer can get random BSOD's with the wrong Nvidia drivers installed (WinDBG always...
