INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR BSOD while playing beamng drive

Today I got an INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR BSOD while playing beamng drive. it happened twice once as soon as I entered a race and one after about 10 minutes of playing. I'm wondering what is causing this. I don't know if it is the game causing it or something else that just happens to trigger when I play beamng drive. The only other thing I have done recently is add another 4gb of ram to my computer.

    Hi mikee286,

    Welcome to the 10forums :)

Please check Acer for chipset driver updates or for sata driver updates.

This is a different computer it is my 5 year old custom build. My laptop is an acer which works now. I will check for drivers. Any idea after looking at the bsod information what causes this all of a sudden?

The sata drivers are the cause, they are integrated in the chipset drivers of the motherboard manufacturer ASUS.

Windows says the best drivers are already installed for the "AMD SATA Controller" I'm not sure if there are drivers available for windows 10 for this motherboard. My motherboard is an ASUS M4A88T-M. I originally used the standard microsoft ahci driver which worked fine up until the anniversary update then I kept getting warnings in event viewer saying a stop was issued to device. I then installed the windows 7 driver from the driver CD which worked I guess up until yesterday. So I'm not sure what to do now
