Hi Ztrucker, I did buy a GTX950 with 4 ports but ended up having cable problems, the Display Port could be plugged through an adapter (since my monitors did not have this port) but the cable had to be VGA (I only had DVI), and the deal killer was, I could not use the HDMI port because it can only be plugged to an HDMI Monitor Port (mine don't have it), so I returned it. NVIDIA did tell me other manufacturers make a 5 port GTX950, with two Display Ports, 2 DVI Ports, and one HDMI Port, but I am saving this in case I can not find another way to solve my issue.
I am back to running on one graphic card and I decided to update every single one of the MOBO drivers to see if that solves the problem. I did that today. I also wrote a note to ASUS, telling them about the problem and asking them if there are any other drivers or BIOS I need to update that may solve this problem.

I do not know what else I could do.

I'm at a loss as well. I'll ask for others to take a look at this thread, see if they have any ideas.

    Hi Racco,

I've read the thread a little quick, so please forgive me if I've missed something.

First thing, we'll need your system specs.
Please fill in your system specs
Please follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely including PSU, cooling and other used stuff like mouse, keyboard, monitor, case, etc.
The PSU, cooling and other stuff are NOT mentioned in the tool.

In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'. After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Next, please make sure that you've installed all drivers that ASUS provides for your motherboard and update the BIOS to the latest stable version.
I've noticed driver easy is installed, I would like to make sure all drivers are from the right source.

Thanks AXEO, I appreciate you looking at my problem with fresh eyes.
    Per your request:
    1. I have manually updated my Specs (the thread to do it automatically was setup for "Seven Forums" and did not have some of the items you mentioned).
    2. Sorry I I used the drive easy app., because of this I don't know where the drivers were downloaded from. Is there a way to find out independently?
    3. based on your systemfo.exe app I found out my BIOS date is prior to the latest date I found in the ASUS Website. I will work to update that today.
    4. PSU Cooling is with the fins and exaust the PSU brought. Thinking of the heat PSU's generate, I over-size the PSU by about 40% so it would always run cool

On a separate thought. Talking to a tech. at the knowledge bar at MicroCenter, I found out they have seen some machines are freezing up because part vendors (like ASUS) did not meet the deadline Microsoft set prior to the release of Windows 10. He told me to check what OS each driver is said to be good for. If it does not say Windows 10/63Bit, it may or may not work.

    Again, Thanks for the help.

I updated my BIOS to version 1707 on March 15, 2014 which according to the (attached) chart I saw at ASUS for my board is the latest there is.

I drilled a little more at ASUS and found this (I still have not heard from my request for support of 7 days ago):
    Access Denied
My board is not listed there - Z 87 Deluxe/Quad MOBO
I am still going through the site looking for whatever may help.

I seem to have forgotten to answer this question
    2. Sorry I I used the drive easy app., because of this I don't know where the drivers were downloaded from. Is there a way to find out independently?
Unfortunately there isn't, AFAIK the drivers are downloaded from a database of the software manufacturer. I have however no idea what happens in the cloud and where they are getting the drivers from before it gets to the cloud.

Because this is just vague, and because it often causes many users trouble, it is not recommended to use such utilities. If one does use them and they get trouble, it is recommended to
    - install the right drivers from official sources to overwrite the bad drivers,
    - use a system restore point or different system backup to revert the driver installation
    - perform a clean install of the OS, this is a last resort option when everything else fails

I was thinking something similar so I went to ASUS and started downloading the chipset update but when it started it gave me a message that the installed chipset was a "newer version that the one I was about to download." I checked again and that was the "newest" version posted in the ASUS download page. I tried to download the VGA pack from intel listed there as well and it gave me a message that my board was "nor ready to accept the download" (whatever that means). The page I posted for you to look at listed the MOBOs ready for Windows 10 and Z87 was not listed there.
I am running on one GPU and it runs fine, but with 2 it still blowsup.
I wish ASUS would say something about my help ticket...I am stuck.

Missed the clean install recommendation - I think I will have to buy the bullet and do that.
    Thanks

You can say, we fixed the BSOD (Black screen of Death in my case) with a "Clean Install." Thanks to Ztruker and AXEO for their help.

BUT, I lost five years worth of work because unbeknownst to me the Windows 10 "backups" were ALSO failing and I ended up with NOTHING.

CHUCK ANOTHER VICTORY FOR WINDOWS MACHINES!!!!! It definitely IS WINDOWS, the most imperfect OS created by men.

Thanks for the help, the fact that Windows 10 is a total FUBAR is not your fault.

I must say Ten Forums is the BEST out there if you need to solve an OS problem. You may not like the answer BUT, you can solve it.
I now have an empty machine, except for OS, that works with all four screens and, so far, has not failed with a ID 41 freeze.
