    BSOD errors frequently crash PC since shortly after installing Win 10

    This PC runs fine most of the time, but often, as many as 2 or 3 times a day it can crash. Many times it just powers off, however it sometimes shows a BSOD," MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x0000001a 00000000`00000403 ffff9101`408dde90 84200002`bf6f5867 ff7f9101`408dde90 ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+14a6f0 x64 ntoskrnl.exe+14a6f0".

    While there are other BSODs showing, ntoskrnl.exe+14a6f0 seems to be quite common.

    We run windows memory diagnostics and it reports ok. SMART information seems to think the hard disk is good. We have been fighting this error for a very long time.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    All the latest dumps show:

    Code:
    BugCheck 1A, {403, fffffa80000e9088, e9b0000244b95c66, ff7ffa80000e9088}
    Probably caused by : memory_corruption
    Could be bad ram, even though you ran windows memory diagnostics or could be a driver problem.

    You have two 4GB memory DIMMs and two 8GB memory DIMMs. I suggest removing both 4GB DIMMs and run that way for awhile, see what happens. If better one of the 4GB DIMMs is bad. If not better, repeat with one of the 8GB DIMMs then if still okay, with the other.

    Windows memory diagnostic is not what we recommend for testing ram.

    ===================================================
    Follow this tutorial: MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums

    MemTest86+ is a diagnostic tool designed to test Random Access Memory (RAM) for faults. MemTest86+ will verify that:

    • RAM will accept and keep random patterns of data sent to it
    • There are no errors when different parts of memory try to interact
    • There are no conflicts between memory addresses

    Memtest86+ runs from bootable media to isolate the RAM from the system, no other components are taken into account during the test.

    warning   Warning
    MemTest86+ needs to run for at least 8 passes to be anywhere near conclusive, anything less will not give a complete analysis of the RAM.

    If you are asked to run MemTest86+ by a Ten Forums member make sure you run the full 8 passes for conclusive results. If you run less than 8 passes you will be asked to run it again.

    Note   Note
    MemTest86+ has been known to discover errors in RAM in later passes than the eighth pass. This is for information only; if you feel there is a definite problem with the RAM and 8 passes have shown no errors feel free to continue for longer.

    Running 8 passes of MemTest86+ is a long and drawn out exercise and the more RAM you have the longer it will take. It's recommended to run MemTest86+ just before you go to bed and leave it overnight.

    Take a picture when done and post in the forum please.

    The dump from 1/10 at 8:19PM shows a problem with your video driver: atikmdag.sys
    Code:
    ffff8400`637e61a8 fffff806`e3e2f667*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmdag.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for atikmdag.sys
     atikmdag+0x27f667
    You have a ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics with a fairly old driver from 1/12/2015, but there are none newer as the card is out of support since 2013.

    Memory check

    I had run the other memory checker, but it had been months ago. After posting, I removed all but one of the 8gb memory modules fro the system. I will let that run for a while. Sometimes the lock up occurs daily, but it can go 4 or 5 days in between. I will keep checking the logs. This machine is also on shared power from a welding shop next door. I have asked the owner of Autobody to at least run a clean line back to the panel but he has never done it.

    They can have the breaker flop if two of the wrong machines run at the same time. When they first put this system in they did not run a battery backup, however they have one on it now and have had it for some time.

    I will check all the memory modules separately and post back the results. This may take a little time.

    As for the built on video, I will try to get the owner to purchase a newer card for it.
