Windows 10: BSOD Kmode exception not handled
BSOD Kmode exception not handled
I bought a new pc and when I did fresh install of Windows 10 on SSD, as soon as Windows loaded (after welcome screen) I got these errors:
OneDriverSetup.exe cannot start
and than BSOD with error description:
Kmode exception not handled
Than I used Windows various tools (sfc, dism, memory test) everything went fine and no errors present. After that I loaded Windows in safe mode and those 3 errors dont show up, but what I noticed in Device Manager is that I miss drivers for crucial things (under "Other" section):
PCI Data acquistion and signal processing controller
PCI memory controller
PCI simple communications controller
SM bus controller
My friend downloaded all drivers for my motherboard on USB stick, as I dont have internet connection in this new apartment for at least 2 more weeks. He also downloaded SafeMSI so I can install drivers in SafeMode. Windows in safe mode loaded USB stick fine, SafeMSI registered fine and when I want to install various motherboard drivers I get error:
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application.
And I cannot do anything, in normal mode it crashes all the time and in safe mode I cannot install anything even with SafeMSI (which works fine) as I get this 0xc error all the time. When I go to Device Manager to these problematic devices and I right click to update driver it wants to connect to internet (and I dont have it) or when I go to update driver manually and to search in specific folder (usb stick and motherboard drivers) it doesnt recognize them. I also tried to find a generic windows driver for these specific devices but I cannot find anything similar on the list.
Can someone please help and tell me how to proceed and what to do???
Any help is most appreciated!!!
I followed BSOD - Posting Instructions but I cannot install anything on this pc because of the errors, as Ive stated above. Any other way to get necessary BSOD data/dump file?
Please fill in your system specs with as much detail as possible. We can only suggest the right drivers for you if we know exactly what your computer motherboard and other hardware devices are. Follow this tutorial if you need help on determining your system specs:
System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
My first suggestion is that as this is a new PC you should simply return it and ask for it to be reset for you.
Thx, I filled out system specs! So, any help is most appreciated!
If you did a fresh install of Windows 10 was it using the recovery disk provided with the PC or do you have your own copy of W10.
I would try another installation and if it fails again I think you will have to wait until you have access to the internet.
Make sure you do a clean installation: Windows 10 - Clean Install
I will wait for internet to arrive! Please, dont close thread till I reply how it went after net is installed here. Thx
Internet arrived! So, I tried to do windows update, it download everything but it says: install failed - for all updates!!! Still cannot install anything, I tried again manually to install some things, doesnt work! Now I get error sometimes that I miss: api-ms-win-core-sysinfo-l1-1-0.dll
Any help is appreciated!
Have you tried doing a clean installation now that you have internet access?
Hello, and thanks very much for providing this service.
I've been getting intermittent Netio.sys BSODs, typically while browsing using Chrome, or doing nothing. I was having a bunch of them in September, but they seemed to go away for a time. Now...
Hi all. I had a previous problem which was different to this current one that just occurred, before it wouldn't boot sometimes or able to wake from sleep and get BSODs, my laptop has been working for last few months after a complete clean...
I've got a fairly fresh install of Windows 10 Pro that is giving me some trouble, on a Lenovo Thinkpad W540. I've been getting BSOD crashes that I have been so far unable to resolve. Lately they seem to be happening when the machine...
I recently have been having a few BSOD's and they all point to netio.sys. Unfortunately it happens very random with me doing different tasks. I'm unable to duplicate it. I've have run a System File checker on it and that's come back...
Hi all, I was advised to make my own thread for this issue, so here goes:
