    BSOD - Random Occurences - ntoskrnl.exe

    Hi Guys

I have been trying to fix repeat BSOD errors on my Alienware 15R2 laptop with little sucess so was hoping you might be able to help me.
There seems to be no pattern when it happens - Sometimes while gaming, copying files or even when left idle.
I have tried going through the various dump files myself but can only confirm that the driver causing the problem is ntoskrnl which isnt much use to me.

As far as I can see all drivers and the BIOS are completely up to date.

I have ran the log collector tool and will attach to this post. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Looking at the two most recent crashdumps, the system is complaining about your FiiO E10 usb dac/amp.
This forum post appears to have the latest drivers and firmware for FiiO devices: Driver download links for players & amps - Firmware & Drivers download - FiiO Forums - Powered by Discuz!.

Your installed driver looks to be from 2012, so updating to the latest version will likely improve stability.

Ah ok thanks. I didnt realise that my Fiio needed specific drivers. I have installed the ones that you provided a link for and will report back if I continue to have issues.

Thank you very much for your help.

Well it seems the issue is still present. I have had 2 BSOD's so far today both times the error message has been Kernel Security Check Failure. I have attached the latest log collection to see if anyone can advise further.

The most recent crashdump in the .zip is from the 25th, are there newer crash dumps in C:\Windows\MiniDump or C:\Windows\MEMORY.dmp?

Ah no unfortunately not. I let the BSOD process finish on both occasions but for some reason it hasnt written a dump file.
I checked the startup / recovery options and it is set to write a dump file to %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP
