Only a couple hours, not sure if that's long enough. It seemed to shut down faster but still slow at booting up. Though I never received an error of it not shutting down properly.

That indicates a problem with a process that is starting at boot and running when you start the shutdown ro a device driver thart is hanging.

Follow the instructions below to see if you can isolate the cause:

I'v been busy for a few days but now I got chance to try a clean boot. I did the first part only because I didn't know which software to uninstall. When I restart, the computer doesn't say it shut down properly so when I did the clean boot I shut it down. The computer did shutdown and startup much faster, then I checked the reliability monitor and the error never came up.

So, the clean boot did help the problem. Now I just need to find out which one is causing it.
