    BSOD error 0x00000124

    Hello,

    I got 2 consecutive crashes while playing rainbow 6 siege. The first time it simply freeze. The second time I got BSOD.

    Can anyone help me pinpoint the problem?

    The crash dump you posted is reporting a fatal hardware error has occurred, specifically with the microcode of your AMD processor.

    1. Let's rule out the more mundane issue of a bad stick of ram. Please run memtest86+ to check for ram errors.

    2. It appears you are running the latest firmware for your motherboard, so the normal solution of using the updated microcode via a new firmware version isn't an option. Instead, we are left with using VMware's microcode updater to bring you to the latest AMD microcode.

    I have attached a .zip of the updater with the amd microcode files already in place, but if you'd rather do it yourself feel free to follow the instructions VMware provided. Run the "install.bat" file as an administrator and then reboot once it is finished.
