    BSOD Unexpected_kernel_mode_trap_m

This BSOD occurs for me in the following situation. When I either insert an USB stick into front panel port, or insert a SD card into front panel slot and then when going to File Explorer to access either of them my PC has the BSOD.

The following is the text from my PC Crash dump analysis by WhoCrashed (Home Edition) v 5.53.

    Crash dump directory: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Tue 12/13/2016 4:44:12 PM your computer crashed
    crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\121316-18687-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x482DE3)
    Bugcheck code: 0x1000007F (0x8, 0xFFFF8E81F8993A30, 0xFFFF8E81FAFFCFC0, 0xFFFFF803DD504DE3)
    Error: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M
    file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that a trap was generated by the Intel CPU and the kernel failed to catch this trap.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue).
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.
    Conclusion
One crash dump has been found and analyzed. No offending third party drivers have been found. Consider using WhoCrashed Professional which offers more detailed analysis using symbol resolution. Also configuring your system to produce a full memory dump may help you.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further

As you can see you have many older drivers who can not be compatible to windows 10.
Update or make a decision if you need them or can remove them.

Thank You lifetec for your reply. I am slogging through the list that you provided. I have uninstalled some programs. The amdkmpfd/AMD PCI Root Bus Lower Filter has me stumped as my PC has an Intel processor. The idea of software drivers is new to me, I now know what they are somewhat. I have no idea on how to update them, other than a software update. I am more in-tuned to device drivers. A lot of the items on this list, but not all, could be the leftovers from an incomplete program uninstall. I have updated the driver for the Genesys Logic Storage Driver, I soon will try a SD card and see if I still get a BDOD. I came across a program called Reason Core Security, is it a useful program th keep. I will keep you informed of my progress as I go along. So that you do not think that I disregarded your input. Thank Again

I did uninstall some programs as described earlier and I performed a Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade following step:6. That seemed to solve my problems. Now I have some other problems but I will address them later on in a different post. Now I can insert either a SD card or an USB stick and view the contents of either one without getting a dreaded BSD! Thanks again to lifetec and Brink and all others at WindowsTen Forums for all of your help.
