I still haven't received any BSODs (this is the longest I've gone since they began). So I believe we may have resolved the issue!

Thanks also for confirming that I could still use GeForce Experience to update my graphics drivers. I've since done that as well, with no issues. I think seeing "Nvidia" on each made me hesitate.

I'll leave this thread open a few more days, and if no BSODs occur, I'll mark this resolved. Thanks again to both axe0 and valihrach for all the help!

You're welcome; I had similar problems, unfortunately I had to buy AMD graphics card and replace that old Nvidia one to fully avoid crashes. It seems to be common problem: Nforce chipset + Geforce graphics in combination are fully stable in Windows 7 but not in Windows 10.

    Hello iPaul,

I have exactly the same problem as you describe in this thread except that my computer is an HP, not a Dell. I will try changing the Nvidia driver to the Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller driver as you did and hopefully that will fix my problem as well. I'm wondering if this means my disk drives will be slower because an IDE driver would not use features of the SATA interface that make it faster than the IDE? Did you notice any degradation in performance of the drives?

    Thanks!
