Im actually already going to be receiving a replacement PSU to make sure that isn't the culprit. Thing is, its an upgraded PSU and I dont know how to easily transfer over the connections from the old to the new. Can you give me some guidance?

Alright, it's quite easy actually, more than with the hx850 if the pics I see are correct :)

All you would need to do is remove all cabling going to the PSU, install the PSU and reconnect all cabling back.
This is quite easy, because if you count the pins on each connection you can easily find out what cables provides power for what part.
