My wife's computer gets this on occasion. It goes to 100%, then reboots.
Has occurred 3 times in last 2 weeks.

What do I need to do to get you the information for a fix?

I know this is an old post/thread...but the instructions say to USE IT if my problem is DIRECTLY related.....and, it is!

    Thanks for any help.

    Update:
    BIOS (Download BIOS Update [BX97520J.86A])
In addition, the graphics card you use seems to be incompatible with Windows 10, so I advise you to replace it with a newer one

    Thanks for that.
BTW, I'm not TOO geeky, but I was of the understanding that my PC has up to three, somewhat pricey NVIDIA graphics cards in it. Can you confirm that from the upload by any chance? Thanks.

Also (hate to be a pita).....the instructions on that BIOS update page say: "
    • Iflash BIOS Update [BX97520J.86A.2838.IB.EXE] - A DOS-based utility to update the BIOS regardless of operating system. It requires a blank floppy diskette, a bootable CD or a bootable USB device."

I don't THINK I've done a BIOS update that requires a bootable CD before. Any chance you could point me to some "guidance" for that? Or should I be taking this old baby into my local PC shop? (I AM a techy.....but more of an internal combustion guy!!. So/and could probably figure it out if it's step-by-step.)
    Thanks, again.

There are officially no drivers for Windows 10 for this card (these work for Windows 8.1). The last posts that talk about it are from before 2015-2016, and since then there have been many great Windows 10 updates (in the logs I see that you have the latest version of Win 10 1903) so this compatibility could get lost somewhere.
A graphics card failure due to its age is not excluded (7300 GT is an age-old design)

From what I can see, the new BIOS is also distributed in the form of an EXE file, in such a way under Windows also can not update the BIOS?

I'm a little nervous about downloading/updating anything from this page: Download BIOS Update [BX97520J.86A] .....since there's no mention of Windows 10 anywhere!

What are the risks of trying and failing? (I'd kick myself if I couldn't restart my PC!!)

If you think you can't cope with the BIOS update then please don't do it by force. I think replacing the graphics card will help

    I agree. Thanks.
I'll probably just find a newer machine and maybe transplant my drives into it.

The CPU does not have integrated GPU.

The BSOD displayed Nvidia GPU drivers, nvlddmkm.sys, as the misbehaving drivers.

The collected bugchecks were 50 and 116
Other bugchecks in the logs were 9F

    Bugcheck 116: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE
Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed.

Turn off windows updates of non-microsoft drivers:
Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10

Find older drivers > test stability / instability
    Download Drivers | NVIDIA
If older drivers produce stability > create a new backup image

If the computer produces BSOD with multiple nvlddmkm.sys driver versions > swap or replace the card(s) > retest stability / instability

    Code:

    Code:
    Code 48:
The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)

    Recommended Resolution

Contact the manufacturer of your hardware device to obtain the latest version or the updated driver. Then, install it on your computer.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) Powercfg -h off
    6) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    7) bcdedit /enum {badmemory}

    8) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    9) Make sure that there is no over clocking while troubleshooting.
