BSOD on Startup of Firefox - Bad_Pool_Caller 0x000000c2

The PC specs listed in my profile are my old desktop which I have re-purposed as a HTPC.
I now use the motherboard's Atheros/Qualcomm AR9485 wireless network adapter to connect to my router.

I can run IE 11 and Edge just fine, but if I try to use Firefox I get BSODs every time.

I updated all the hardware drivers to no avail.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but it still BSODs.

Attached is the dm log file.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi The Doctor :)

Please uninstall all protection software to ensure they won't cause any conflict.

How did you update all drivers? With device manager?

Could you describe how far you get with Firefox before a BSOD occurs. Please use a description like 'I open Firefox and see this and that before a BSOD occurs', or 'I open Firefox, it opens properly but as soon as I want to go to any site a BSOD occurs, this includes/excludes any settings'.

I have given up on this. I am no longer using the wireless adapter.

Today I remembered I had a decent length of ethernet cable downstairs.
In place of the Atheros wireless adapter, I was able to use it to connect the HTPC to the range extender.

    No more BSODs with Firefox.

It may have been a hardware problem with the adapter itself.
