    BSOD "Driver Power State Failure"

Computer freezes and crashes irregularly when watching youtube videos in google chrome. was just a minor inconvenience, but I have recently installed adobe creative suite and if I have a video playing it will always crash into a BSOD after about 5 minutes of non-interactive freeze. Some sources I have found have hinted that it may be my Nvidia card drivers, but I have been unable to fix it.

You are still at the TH2 10586 version. A lot of fixes went into the Anniversary release 14393.

Please update to the Anniversary level then see if the problem still exists or not. Meanshile I'll take a look at your dumps.

Dump does indicate a problem with your Nvidia driver or card: nvlddmkm.sys

You have version 362.09. Version 372.70 was just recently released.

Remove and install latest Nvidia drivers:

I suggest completely uninstalling the Nvidia display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile (near bottom of page) then get the latest driver for you Nvidia card here: NVIDIA Driver Downloads

Then do a custom install of only the NVidia graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.

Well, I did all that you suggested. I updated my OS (which was harder then I expected), then wiped the nvidia drivers and custom reinstalled them. No luck. It still Crashes. When I opened photoshop even without youtube playing or chrome open it worked for about a minute then it froze in the same way as it has been. I will point out that the crashes I have been having since before i installed Photoshop till now have all been exactly the same, and I have not encountered them before this computer- programs all stop being able to be interacted with, though the mouse can still move. Ctrl+Alt+del does nothing. after about 3-5 minutes of this, Win 10 BSOD pops up with "driver power state failure" then restarts.

No new dump in the latest zip you uploaded.

Let's try stressing your CPU sand GPU, see if that shows us anything.
    ===================================================
Follow this tutorial to stress test your CPU:

Follow this tutorials to stress test your GPU:

If you have a AMD APU instead of a discreet GPU, try UNIGINE 3D Benchmark..

If that doesn't help, check your ram, see if there is a problem there. This takes a lot of time to complete 8 passes:

    RAM:

Follow this tutorial: MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums

    information   Information

MemTest86+ is a diagnostic tool designed to test Random Access Memory (RAM) for faults. MemTest86+ will verify that:

    • RAM will accept and keep random patterns of data sent to it
    • There are no errors when different parts of memory try to interact
    • There are no conflicts between memory addresses

Memtest86+ runs from bootable media to isolate the RAM from the system, no other components are taken into account during the test.

    warning   Warning
MemTest86+ needs to run for at least 8 passes to be anywhere near conclusive, anything less will not give a complete analysis of the RAM.

If you are asked to run MemTest86+ by a Ten Forums member make sure you run the full 8 passes for conclusive results. If you run less than 8 passes you will be asked to run it again.

    Note   Note
MemTest86+ has been known to discover errors in RAM in later passes than the eighth pass. This is for information only; if you feel there is a definite problem with the RAM and 8 passes have shown no errors feel free to continue for longer.

Running 8 passes of MemTest86+ is a long and drawn out exercise and the more RAM you have the longer it will take. It's recommended to run MemTest86+ just before you go to bed and leave it overnight.

That may be a problem. You could try replacing the thermal paste between the heat sink and the CPU with new Artic Silver or equivalent.

What about the GPU stress test?

Look at cooling for the GPU as well.

Also, MS just released an update that is supposed to fix a lot of the freezing problems people who installed the Anniversary Update are seeing. See here: Microsoft Fixes the Windows 10 Freezing Issues - Windows 10 Forums
