BSOD while downloading large games from steam, error wdf01000.sys

    Hello,

I have recently bought a used PC and changed the case for a new one, so I rewired the entire system. Since then, the PC keeps crashing when I download large games off steam and sometimes it crashes while I'm watching videos on youtube. Two errors show at different times when it crashes and the main error is: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (wdf01000.sys) and the other one is: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (usbxhci.sys).

    Here is the dump file.

Your help is much appreciated. =)

What USB devices are plugged in? Please disconnect everything and let me know if the issue still occurs. Try running sfc /scannow from cmd as admin.

I have some essential devices connected, such as a mouse, a keyboard and a USB WiFi stick. I have disconnected all of the devices and unplugged the PC from the power supply. The issue does not occur all the time, it happens unexpectedly.

Would you please try using your PC without the USB wifi stick as these have been known to cause issues.
Were PS/2 mouse and keyboard connected to the PC at one point?

I will be able to do without the USB wifi stick soon. However, the mouse and keyboard are USB only, I cannot use the PS/2 port.

OK, I only wanted to know whether you have used a PS/2 mouse and keyboard on this computer in the past. Unplug the wifi and tell me the results.

No, I never used the PS/2 port on this computer. What do I need to do after switching to an Ethernet connection ? as in a diagnostic test.

Download a large game from steam and see if it still crashes. If it does crash, please include the zipped file in your post.
