ScpVBus.sys probably refers to my SCP drivers for dualshock 3 controllers. Doh! Thanks, I'll uninstall my DS3 drivers and try the verifier again.

In many situations it had referred to something else, it is one of the drivers that is used by many things.

I'll uninstall the SCP driver anyway, as if it isn't the cause I can reinstall it easily and I hardly use it anymore.

Ran the driver verifier again, got a different stop code this time. Again, I've re-ran the tool and uploaded the zip.

That would be the Unified Remote 3 program causing the crash.
Do you need all installed programs? It'll be a few days job to get everything proper for you to update to the newest Windows 10 version.

Absolutely don't need these programs, I usually install these programs a while ago, as recently if it's a one off thing I just tend to install a virtual machine and run the program inside that. I'll get to work removing everything I don't need and see if it makes a difference.

Uninstalled many programs, found the main culprits to be universal remote and USBPCap. Removed them both, sat the update to run overnight and woke up this morning to a "Welcome to Windows 10" screen. Thank you so much for your help, no idea what I would've done without it!

    Glad to hear :)

A lot of software often causes conflicts, unfortunately the first thing many users do is blame Microsoft for making 'an improper OS' while they do not know that most of their programs aren't supported for years.
