BSOD during update to build 1607

During installation i received a BSOD, first 2 restarts went fine, then another one at around 73% i think and BSOD something about system exception not handled. Scanned QR code, damn thing was of absolutely no help at all. Maybe you guys will be able to assist.

*edit* tried again after disconnecting all peripherals and most of the asus software. Still no go, i have the basic O&O shutup 10 settings applied, so yeah, right now i'm stuck on build 1511. 2nd log attached after 2nd unsuccesful install

    *edit2* just found this: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...7da47ec?auth=1

seems it might be my avast. As uninstalling that is no option for me (loss of the asus software isn't a biggy), i'll await for their response. In fact there's numerous topics about it. Avast Free/Pro/IS/Premier

Please remove all pirated programs and such from your system before we can start troubleshooting.
The Forum Rules is meant for everything regarding piracy
    • Discussing it,
    • Asking for guidance,
    • Asking for a crack,
    • The use of it,
    • Etc.

    4) No piracy or discussion of piracy allowed at all. Such as software, music, videos and other intellectual property violations (e.g. downloading youtube videos locally etc).

    Hi Ch3vr0n,

I'm not talking about your activation :)
I've seen your activation, some generic details at least, there is no problem with that :)

Nor am i asking for any help about cracking, hacking, the use of it or anything remotely similar!
It seems that you didn't understand what I posted, let me try to explain :)
You indeed don't ask for help about any kind of piracy in any way, but that is not what I meant. I meant that you are having illegal activated programs on your system.
We don't provide support while any kind of piracy is present on your system.

My post is a so called template post, I use it everytime when I see evidence about piracy on a system. I've expanded it a little in the hope to explain what Forum Rule #2 is about, because some attempted to change the definition of this rule from time to time.

IME it is never a good idea to let others install your software with the reason that you pay for 'scam'.

I'll let em know. However, as stated at the bottom of the 1st post, this may be an avast related issue. The fix should get pushed today or tomorrow. Either way i'll report back

@axe0 it was indeed Avast that was the problem. An emergency update was pushed earlier today. For more info [fixed] Blue Screen (BSOD) - Windows 10 Anniversary Update on Skylake CPU might be worth checking out as i see a lot of anniversary related bsod issues atm.
