Do you have any other way of connecting to the internet such as fitting a wireless network card this might enable you to get back to playing games and testing your BSOD problem.

As for the Network can you describe what type of cable you are using (the Cat 6 or 5E is needed for the high speed) , what connection speed you are working at etc.

I do have a wireless card I can try. I did try using a PCI-E ethernet card I had laying around to see if maybe it was the motherboard ports, but it had the same problem. I'm using the ethernet cable that came with my Asus RT-AC68U router. It is a Cat 5E cable.

Windows says the connection is 100 Mbps. Speedtest says 72.58 Mbps download and 11.34 Mbps upload.

I'll try throwing the wireless card in later today and see if that helps.

Adding the wireless card and unplugging the cable didn't improve the network problems at all.

I decided to bite the bullet over the weekend and I reinstalled Windows 10 on Saturday morning. I only installed the bare necessities including WOW (for testing for BSODs), and so far no networking problems or BSODs. It's extremely un-scientific, so I really have no idea what caused either problem. I guess I'll just pay really close attention when I install anything and see if new problems pop up.

I really hate doing things this way because now I have no idea what caused either problem. I was desperate because I couldn't get work done. I'll keep updating this thread if any other problems pop up.

Thank you so much philc43! I truly appreciate the help!

Glad to hear things are working better so far. A fresh install with have many benefits, it reduces clutter and speeds up your system but unfortunately it can be difficult to pinpoint what was wrong. Keep a close watch and make use of "Reliability History" (type it into the search bar to find it) to note what is being updated on a daily basis. If the problem comes back you can then identify what caused it.

I just had another BSOD. I attached the log. I looked at reliability history like you suggested but nothing happened of significance that I can see over the last bunch of days.

I see you are using Kaspersky again. I would much prefer to see you using Windows Defender just because I know we have seen a number of BSOD that get triggered by these AntiVirus packages. I have no proof that it is causing you problems but it helps troubleshooting if we can reduce the number of extra drivers and processes that are running.

Please use the Kaspersky removal tool.

Your network card is still resetting all the time. This definitely points to either a hardware or driver problem with the network card, there have been reports of problems with this on the Z170 if you google it. I believe you have already tried alternative drivers but please note that there is now a new version of Windows 10 (The Anniversary Update) which has fixed a number of bugs and issues. Your system should update automatically but you can force it by going to the update page http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=821403

I know this is an old thread now, but I'm still having problems and they're worse than ever...

I removed Kaspersky as suggested and continued to get the occasional BSOD. I updated to the Win10 anniversary update and all of the updates that came after that as well, but still continued to have problems. I reinstalled Kaspersky and noticed no additional problems, but did still have problems unfortunately. I got desperate and replaced the motherboard to an MSI Z170A Gaming M5. I thought that solved all of my problems because I went months without a single issue, but over the last couple of days, I've been getting BSODs every 5-10 minutes. I haven't installed anything new for weeks. I removed Kaspersky again and ran the collection tool and attached it.

I've been monitoring the temps with HWMonitor and they're all nice and low. I'm using the same CPU and memory that I had on the old motherboard. This is extra frustrating because I didn't have any problems for months.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello again and sorry for the delay, I am not on these forums as much as I used to be.

Looking at your BSOD memory dumps confirms that the majority of errors are again most likely related to hardware. I know your memory tested out fine before but that was some time ago and it would be worth testing again. I would also do a hardware test on your CPU.

The tests to run are Memtest86+ and Prime95. Read through the tutorials carefully first to remind you how to run these tests.

Please report back on the results.

Here are the Prime95 results. I will do the memtest as soon as I can, but I can't be without a computer for 2 days while it runs. My computer kept resetting, but as soon as I ran Prime95, it stopped resetting. Once I stopped Prime95, it locked up. I also attached a new BSOD memory dump. This problem comes and goes for weeks at a time. Since my last post, I didn't have any problems until last night.

Have you had a chance to run the memory test yet?
