If the computer works fine in SMWN without an issue will always be a driver or an app issue. If the system doesnt evem boot into smwn then definitely it is an issue with OS or H/W failure.

     RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums

    Note   Note

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Make a photo of the result and post it please.

    Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.

So after 26+ hours and 14-passes, I've got NO errors (see attached). What is the next step? Should I try determining if it's an issue with my SSD (Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA III Internal Solid State)?

The next step is the other tests I posted, or have they been done per the instructions?

Hi Axe0, aside from the recent MemTest 86, I've done Prime95 and Furmark with philc43 (see earlier posts for details). Should I focus on the SSD (primary Windows 10 drive) or something else?

Please run Furmark for 30 minutes as I requested, 10 minutes is by far enough.

    Wished I could.

Pulled out my SSD and started to copy all the pertinent information to a back-up drive. Reinstalled the SSD drive and found that when booting into Windows 10, only a few icons (from 20+) appeared on my desktop and background went to default windows blue.

Force (hard) re-booted my computer, and then new messages started to pop up on the POST screen via Windows:

    Diagnosing your PC
    Preparing Automatic Repair

And then it would crash with the BSOD that looked all distorted on the 4k monitor. I tried a few more soft reboots and then gave up on the loops. Decided to install Windows 10 from scratch.

Placed the bootable USB Windows 10 that I've created a day earlier and then before I got a chance to enter Windows 10 key, the BSOD showed it's ugly head. I knew then it was not OS related, rather hardware.

So I've called up Intel and managed to get through to a customer service rep and started the RMA process on the i7-6700k CPU that I've purchased from March 2016. We'll see how that goes.

Thank you all for your help!
