Will do, This sort of thing is no big deal when you assemble your own systems.

I am thinking of just going ahead a purchasing it's replacement anyway. You know the 2nd law of
Saint Vidicon of Cathode, The Patron Saint of Computers. If you have it's replacement the original part will never fail.

But we will see what AMD does first.

Yes, obviously not. As an OS is not bad/faulty/troublemaker by itself.

I've never run Prime95, guess it's time to see what my PC toy will do.

I just finished running UNINGINE's Heaven Benchmark which is a 3D render test. GPU temp got up to 69C and stayed there. It's a Steam Punk floating islands display which is absolutely gorgeous.

Saint Vidicon of Cathode I read that about 2 years ago. Stupid name but a pretty good book.

It is from the SciFi books of Christopher Stasheff, You are referring to his book "Saint Vidicon to the Rescue" (2005)

OK new CPU installed, I am now booting from a 500GB Samsung EVO SSD. So far so good, no BSOD, nor have I have any screen locks. To soon to say everything is now fixed, but the computer see to be working now. The only issue I have is sorting out my HDD. which I can handle. I really want a Drobo. I have 7 internals now.

Very nice. If you really see that the issue is over, please consider the thread as solved (Attachment 91116).

    Have maked this problem solved.

I have so many drives because many of them started life as externals who's control boards failed and I extracted the HDD and installed it as an internal,. I see you can get 8TB internal HDD's now. One of these drives would house all of what I presently have in the 5 storage drives with room to spare, I could setup a pair of them to backup each other but a Drobo does it some much better. I remember when the 1st I gig Hard Drive came out, they where just a few bucks less the $2000 dollars. We all thought you would wear one out before you filled it. We would have fallen on our faces in shock to see a 1 TB hard drive for $49.95.
