    Random BSODs

I get random BSODs that seem to occur in swarms. I may get 3 or 4 in a row and then may not have any for 20 hours. I have had as many as 11 BSODs in one day. The two most common are KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED but there have been others. On rare occasions (maybe once per week) I have an out right freeze where the display becomes pixelated and system becomes unresponsive and there is not any BSOD message. This morning I ran sfc /scannow and errors were found and corrected.

    Hi tracit99,

If you are not aware of this, AVG PC TuneUp is a utility known for causing many problems including unbootable systems. I would highly recommend that you remove it.

Please remove either of your memory sticks, using mixed memory may cause various of problems.
I would also suggest to check HP for BIOS updates.

It looks like there is file system corruption on your system, however as you run TP it is difficult to say if this is because of a bug in TP or a real corruption that doesn't belong there.

The 0x1E looks like a bug with accessing of memory by file system drivers.
The 0x7E I cannot say for sure, it contains a large corruption of memory where the AMD display drivers are flagged but there is not a reason behind it because the AMD drivers are the only one in the stack.

If this is your laptop that you use for normal things and not for testing then it is highly recommended to get the system out of the insider system.

Thank you axe0 for you prompt reply. I have considered for some time in abandoning AVG PC TuneUp. The only thing I really use from it lately is the Registry Editor. Memory suggestion duly noted. BIOS is latest available. When Windows 10 Anniversary edition is released I will do a clean install (without AVG) and see how it goes. For now I will remain a hard drive stress test dummy because I enjoy testing TP. I do dual boot this laptop with Windows 8.1 Pro and hardly ever see BSODs, but of course Windows 8.1 Pro is not Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview. Thanks again for you analysis.

That is quite dangerous, especially with a utility that may cause so many problems, the only real safe utility for the registry is Ccleaner though it still needs to be done with extreme cautious. Or the built-in registry editor, but then you need to know what you're doing
