    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED nvlddmkm.sys

    Hello TenForums,
As the title suggests I am getting a BSOD error. Along with the kmode exception error I have also received IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I have had my computer for around 3 months but started getting the errors one week ago while playing DayZ and The Witcher 3. It seems to have gotten worse however because when i start getting the error it then won't let me play Rocket League which is much less graphically intense. I don't generally get the error while doing anything other than playing video games though. It will run fine for hours if all I do is internet browse.

I have ran Furmark GPU test with no problems (temperature maxed at 71c), and have run memtest86 with 0 errors after 10 hours. I have reseated my graphics card and ram and tried running with only 1 stick of ram. I have tried various software fixes (disabling drivers, changing paging file size, disabled extra nvidia files in msconfig) and tried different Nvidia driver versions (using DDU to uninstall). I have updated my motherboard BIOS version to F7 (strange that the dumpfile suggests it is F6). All of these attempted fixes as per the suggestion of the internet people I have researched have not solved my problem.

Other hardware not mentioned: Corsair CX750M PSU, 480 GB SanDisk SSD (OS here)

I have also re-installed Windows 10 to no avail. I ran these games just fine on a slightly slower computer (i5, gtx 660) that had windows 7, with no errors. So now I'm desperate. Any help much appreciated.

Yes I am. I am about to test my powersupply with a voltmeter, but any other suggestions are welcome!

Power supply is fine, tested 12.19v 5v and 3.44v.

Going to try CPU stress test tonight and then see if I can update the chipset on the motherboard.
Any suggestions on which program to use to stress test the CPU?

Also my friend has the same Graphics card. Will see if he is willing to let me try his in my machine. Will keep updating.

It looks more like a driver problem than hardware, quite some dumps flag your network & display drivers.

Check the manufacturer of the wifi driver for driver updates

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Nvidia. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver, you can use this tutorial to do so NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems - Windows 7 Help Forums

I think I might just go get a new NIC because the one I am using is around 6 years old at this point and I can't get the driver to update to the one I have downloaded. It just keeps telling me the driver is up to date even when I find the exact file it needs to update, select it and then click update.

I've used DDU twice before in the past week. The tutorial you've linked doesn't mention DDU however, so should i follow the tutorial then use DDU?

The tutorial I mention is for how to install the drivers.

I tried uninstalling nvidia drivers with DDU and clean installing them but still get the same blue screen. I then removed my graphics card, network card and one stick of ram and ran a low graphics intense game and got another blue screen. This time: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (intelppm.sys).

    Dump files from crash uploaded.

So without a wifi card or graphics card plugged in and only one stick of ram, I still got a bsod.

    Running Driver Verifier right now.

Also, ran witcher 3 fine for around 20 minutes with the graphics turned all the way down (with my 970 still plugged in). I cranked them back up to ultra and less than 5 seconds later got a bsod.

Please do NOT run driver verifier (yet), the last crash per the event logs is from 5 days ago meaning the last crash has not been logged.

If you are using any cleanup utility do NOT use them while troubleshooting, they remove the dumps and possibly event lgos which are necessary for troubleshooting.

I noticed that it stopped saving the dump files since 6/21/2016. But then today for some reason it made a new one for 26th so i thought it was good to go. I will reconfigure the mini dump and try to get it to bsod again.

OK figured out how to save the dump. Not only did i need to reconfigure how windows stored the dumpfile but also paging file size has to be set to automatic. If it is set to 0 it will not do the percentage count during the bsod, and hence not save the dump.

Here is the dump file from the most recent crash.

This sounds very close to my current issue. Since I am apparently dump file illiterate, how close are the errors in my dump file vs. his?

Do you have any other advice? I'm at a loss here for what to do next. I've decided to order another NIC because the one I have is old and is using old drivers that don't seem to be able to update. Just checking since it's been three days so I'm not sure if I was expected to be trying anything.
