    Driver power state failure.

For some reason whenever i do something that uses my graphics card i get a BSOD. I disabled it to confirm that it was indeed causing me issues.

Ive reflashed the bios, updated the driver, rolled it back and even did a complete reinstall to factory settings.

I upgraded to Windows 10 as well to see if it would fix the issue but it has not done anything.

The graphics card is a GTX 670m.

Edit: Sometimes i will get the BSOD doing normal things such as browsing or even being on the desktop.

    Thanks

The latest dump indicates a problem with nvlddmkm.sys:
    Code:
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys
The driver is old: Tue Aug 28 03:52:38 2012

According to the output of dxdiag, you have a Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000.
You also have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M but it doesn't appear to be the active video card. Update that driver to the latest WHQL version which is 368.39.

Looks like the Intel is onboard and the Nvidia is a PCI-E card.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Do you think updating the driver to the latest version will fix the issue? Ive tried old drivers as well as new drivers and i still get the same error no matter what i am doing.

The only way i dont get a BSOD is when i disable the card in device manager altogether.

Don't know what to tell you about the Nvidia card.

Are your System Specs correct? It says you have a MSI GT70 0NC which is a laptop and would not have 4 memory slots of room for a Nvidia card. See here: How to fill out System Specs for tenforums.

I did notice you are using mismatched memory modules though, that may be a possible cause for some of your problems. BANK0 looks to be different than what is in BANK1, 2 and 3. As a test, remove what is in BANK0 (the mismatched DIMM) and BANK2 so you have 8GB in BANKS 1 and 3. Run and test, see what that shows you.

If better then replace the BANK0 DIMM with another that is the same as what was in BANK1, 2 and 3, which is like the following on Ebay:

Hey, thanks for replying yet again.

The laptop is indeed the MSI gt70 0nc. The card it came with is the gtx 670m. Everything with the laptop is how it came from the factory, I have not modified anything.

I never had any issues on Windows 7..the issues started appearing after upgrading the video card driver to the latest driver (at the time) which introduced some vulkan api and the option to eject the card.

    Any ideas?
