The tutorial is focused on WIndows 7, the update part can be skipped.
But DDU does what the tutorial does (deleting the numbered folders, and uninstalling the drivers), then I just install the new driver, right?
I'm just a little confused and don't want to do the wrong thing.
Software have bugs from time to time so it is a good thing to check things, it is why I have that part included twice
That doesn't answer my question. In your post you say:
"Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Nvidia.
Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver, you can use this tutorial to do so."
The tutorial says to go into the Nvida folder and delete the drivers folders and uninstall drivers. Do I do that first then use DDU or does DDU do that for me then I install the new driver. ?
You said to use DDU and install the new driver using the tutorial but it doesn't mention DDU so that's where I'm confused.
I'm sure i'm misunderstanding you but I don't want to screw this up
I say that you can install the drivers with the guidance of the tutorial, the tutorial explains properly how you can install the minimum of the drivers, that is why it is included. You said to use DDU and install the new driver using the tutorial but it doesn't mention DDU so that's where I'm confused.
So: run DDU and follow the tutorial for how to install the drivers.
Gotcha, DDU installed, Restore point created, gonna boot into safe mode to run DDU then run install.
Windows does not like DDU, it keeps wanting to extract the .exe. I right click the .exe and say "Run as Administrator", confirm the UAC then it wants to extract again?
You want the .exe called 'Display Driver Uninstaller', the one you choose is the installer.
