    Asus laptop random bsod

    Hello people

I'm getting random BSOD with the error BAD_POOL_HEADER on my laptop. I've noticed BSOD after upgrading my HDD to Sandisk SSD Ultra II 240 GB and when I play bluestacks (I play daily clash of clans on bluestacks) and I get BSOD about every 30 minutes. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi barrikas,

    Welcome to the 10forums :)

    warning   Warning
Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Driver Genius, please remove them as it may cause trouble.

You could use a system restore point to uninstall the drivers that Driver Genius has installed.

This problem looks to me like a recent known driver conflict between Malwarebytes and Bitdefender, they are working on a solution.
Please try following and let us know if the BSODs continue :)

Please open Bitdefender, go to modules, go to Firewall, click 'Block port scans in the network' so it is turned OFF. This is a temporary solution until the problem is resolved.
You could also configure Bitdefender and Malwarebytes to exclude each other, click on this link for how to do this, but only excluding may not work so I suggest that you at least follow the suggestion for blocking port scans in Bitdefender.

Thanks for your reply axe0! The truth is I did a lot of updates with driver genius and in system restore there only one date available with Windows update in description. I think I've deleted all the previous restores.. I'll try the rest suggestions as soon as possible and reply to let you know.

So I followed the instruction on how to turn off 'block ports scans in the network and I also configured Bitdefender and Malwarebytes to exlude each other. I uninstalled driver genius also but I can't tell which drivers had been installed with this program since I'm using it from the window instalation.. If the crashes occure again then would it be wise to make a clean install of windows 10? I hope not! I'll let you know if the problem persists.

Thanks again for the useful instructions :)

If the crashes persist a clean install is recommended.
