    try this

    Launch PowerShell
copy the line below - it's all one line

    Get-EventLog -LogName Application -Source wininit | Select-Object -Last 1 -ExpandProperty message | out-file Desktop\chkdskresults.txt

Paste (right click=paste) it in the Powershell window
    enter

When it finishes, attach the chkdskresults.txt file (on your Desktop) to a new post.

    @Slartybart

I did that but it's giving me an error message in red. Below is the screenshot.

You ran it elevated - it can't find C:\Windows\System32\Desktop

Run the same command in a standard PowerShell.

I ran it also without being elevated, and it still gave me the error. I will try again.

ok, post a screen shot if it errors

Always remember to show members the results - you're the only one who can see your monitor

The command finished - there's no output because it was redirected to chkdskresults.txt

    Look on your desktop
attach the chkdskresults.txt file to your next post

Please follow instructions as they are given (see post# 61)

There was a few MBs in the bad sectors, they should be recovered if that was required or they are deleted and there have been some other corrections made.
The problem with the hard drive may not be as bad as I had thought, fortunately, so it is possible that the hard drive can be used for a long period without problems, but as always it is always recommended to backup data regularly just in case something goes wrong like the hard drive failing spontaneously.

Okay. Thank you @axe0. Is that all I need to do?
