    Run following tests

    1. Short Drive Self Test
    2. Short generic
    3. Long generic

Ill post screen shots but a quick summary:

    1. Short Drive Self Test - Both HDD passed
    2. Short generic - Both HDD passed
    3. Long generic - My computer won't stay stable enough to get through a complete test. I leave it to run overnight and in the morning, it will be completely frozen. Only one monitor is on (showing that its getting SOME signal I guess) but the 2nd monitor is off (showing no signal) but the screen is completely black. The computer is on, lights flashing, fans running, but a black screen.

I forgot to mention this I guess, this isnt anything new. Ill get BSOD regularly, but if I just let my computer sit idle for a long period of time it will freeze up like this. Sometimes both monitors are on, showing the desktop but its frozen, other times it is black and frozen like I said before.

Run the DOS version of SeaTools if you get problems.

I tried to use SeaTools for DOS. I followed the instructions listed.

The download in the link to the tool provided doesn't work:

    http://www.seagate.com/support/downl...ls-dos-master/

So I went and looked on Seagate's website for the tool and found this:

    Downloads | Seagate

I downloaded that tool - extracted and renamed the image per the instructions - used Win32 Disc Imager to write it to a flashdrive and set it to boot off that flash.

The program started but said it didn't detect any hard drives.

    What should I do?

    1. Shut down the computer and reboot from it. Still nothing? follow 2.

    2. Check the cabling and make sure nothing, including the connections and pins, are damaged in any way (borked or broken or something)

    Run following tests

    1. Short Drive Self Test - Both Pass
    2. Short generic - Both Pass
    3. Long generic - HHD 1.5 TB FAIL; HHD 500 GB pass

    chkdsk
DDS, HHD 1.5 TB, HHD 500 GB all pass

    HD Tune

    • Error Scan
      • SSD: None
      • HDD 1.5 TB: 1 block that was red (damaged) - I ran it once completely and forgot to take a screen shot, the second time I took a screenshot when the only red block appeared but it crashed before it completed. I promise it is only that one red black that appears.Attachment 86619
      • HHD 500 GB: None Attachment 86632

    • make a screenshot of the health of every hard drive and post the screenshots

    1. Long generic - HHD 1.5 TB FAIL; HHD 500 GB pass

    1. Long generic - HHD A pass; HHD B fail
Is HDD B the 1.5TB drive?

    I apologize, it is.

I went ahead and cleared (edited) the contents of the first post.

I differentiated the Hard Drives better in the subsequent posts.

#27 and #28 are the completed results.

*Edit: Also added the screenshot of the error checking on HDD 500 GB
